Mindfulness is more than just being aware of what we are doing; it is also an awareness of what we are thinking and feeling. Mindfulness allows us to be aware of the woes of life or the fears of our inadequacies or pride that might be created. Nevertheless we can still spend untold hours, days, or even weeks criticizing, justifying or blaming ourselves or others; even though we may never think of making a conscious decision to spend all that time enveloped in self- criticism or blame. When we are in this state with our thoughts and feelings, it appears they are out of our control. When we are mindful of what is possible, then we become knowingly aware that when any negativity envelopes us, this is just fearing the force of positive energy and worrying about aspects of our lives that need addressing, rather than just allowing ourselves to be mindful of just being.
